Westgate School Council

At Westgate School we value the opinions of our pupils, and have set up the School Council to give our children a voice. Every 2 weeks our representatives meet up with Mrs. Penn to discuss current issues and projects. These children then seek the help of their classmates to come up with solutions that will benefit all of the children in school.

Mrs. Penn would like to give a special thank you to all the current representatives (pictured below) who have done a fantastic job over the past year.

Coming soon - Westgate School Council Election day!

On Monday 29th October all of our Key Stage 2 pupils will take part in lessons about our UK parliament and our own School Council, and learn about how they both operate. Every child will be given the chance to put themselves forward to be their classes new School Council representative. We are also excited to welcome a special visitor from the UK Parliament's education team who will conduct an assembly and hold workshops with our Year 5 pupils. Watch this space for photographs, news and videos!
