‘The Potting Shed’ Nurture Intervention

Primarily targeting children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One, the Potting Shed support children three full mornings a week in meeting their educational needs developmentally and provides targeted support for children’s social and emotional development. A home from home setting, children can access curriculum linked activities that encourage them to build confidence, make friends and learn the boundaries of the school environment.

The Potting Shed is also accessed by our older children at times, either through group work or on an individual basis. Children are welcome to drop in at playtimes and lunchtimes for help with a problem, to share some news or just to show us a dance!

Lego Based Therapy

Our Lego Therapy is an intensive intervention aimed at children with specific social and communication difficulties. The group builds confidence, improves social skills and encourages positive interaction with others through fulfilling set roles of Builder, Parts Supplier and Engineer and assembling Lego sets. The group has been set up with the support of an Educational Psychologist, who provides ongoing assessment and support to our trained members of staff to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
