              Due to increasing demand Westgate Wonders is looking to recruit a Playwork Practitioner to work in their busy Breakfast & After School Club.

                             The successful candidate would also be required to work additional hours within the Holiday Club in the school holidays.

Lunchtime Welfare Staff (Foundation Living Wage (FLW) £8.45 per hour)


 We are looking to recruit hardworking, flexible, enthusiastic and caring welfare assistants who have a desire to make the pupils lunchtime a happy, safe and fun time. The posts are for 1.25 hours per day term time only, initially temporary with a view to becoming permanent.


 Successful candidates will have the ability to relate well with children and adults alike and be a team player working under the direction of the Welfare Manager.


 Successful candidates will be able to: 

Support children in developing good social skills
Develop positive relationships with both children and adults
Make lunchtimes safe and happy
Help children organise playground games and join in with their games


 Essential Qualities:

 Enthusiasm for working with children and a caring approach

 Ability to communicate effectively 

Commitment to working as part of an active, caring team

 Flexible, 'can do' attitude


 Desirable Qualifications:

 A First Aid qualification would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided for  successful applicants
