Teaching Assistant Vacancies

Would you like to join a team of highly skilled professionals who value the importance of high-quality education? Would you like to work in a place where your professional development and well-being is a priority? Would you like to work in a place where a sense of humour is a requirement? If so, then you may be what we are looking for.

Due to the continued success of the school we are looking for several full time Teaching Assistants (25 hours per week), one position may be considered to be permanent and the others to be 12 months in the first instance.

The first teaching assistant post advertised is to join a class team to support a child in Key Stage One with additional, complex and sensory needs. The school have a good understanding of her needs and this is a great opportunity to work alongside our SEND team to offer quality provision to this child. Here at Westgate, we use a class team approach to support children with additional needs so there will be collaboration with other adults within the class to support this child as well as any other children who require it.

The other posts will be in a class to include general class based Teaching Assistant responsibilities as well as supporting children with Special Educational Needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties as part of a class team approach. The year groups for the general Teaching Assistant posts have yet to be determined and will reflect the range of applications we receive.

There will also be additional welfare hours available for 5 hours per week
